How to find percentage difference?
Before we begin, read our introduction to percentage if you haven't done yet.
Percentage difference between A and B
Percentage difference is the ratio of difference between A & B and the average of A & B expressed as a percentage.
- Example: Percentage difference between 15 and 25
- I. Find the difference between A and B = 25-15 = 10
- II. Find the average of A and B = (25+15)/2 = 20
- Express the ratio of I and II as a percentage = 10/20 × 100 = 50%
